We started our journey on 24th August 2019 with the leadership of Wanis Pushpa Kumara. Bringing pride to Uva Wellassa On 24.08.2019, Sulaga Sandarawan's main Wellawaya Rio music troupe presented the first performance experience to the loving hearts of Wellawaya residents with high technology. Together with 10 members, our music band consists of 4 singers, 3 guitarists, an Octapad player, a keyboardist, and a drumist. Our music brigade found its way into the hearts of fans through social media, and we received invitations from the concert organizers, and through fm media.
We aim to create vivid songs using unique compositions of the art of music to decorate both Sri Lankan as well as Foreign concerts successfully along our determined path and are well known for performing at outdoor and indoor stadiums. We have performed and covered hundreds of musical shows. Importantly the Aura Lanka Music Festival is our favorite, biggest, and most successful among them. We were also able to find a place in the hearts of our fans by receiving invitations from every corner of the Island. As Wellawaya Rio we are happy with the progress we made so far.
